Shave soaps are lathered with a brush, either on the face or in a bowl. They come as hard pucks, softer croap style tubs and travel sticks, and one puck usually lasts a long time next to a tube of cream.
The range covers The Goodfellas’ Smile, Taconic Shave, TFS and Parker, in both tallow-based and vegetable-based formulas. Tallow soaps tend to build a denser lather with more cushion, while vegetable soaps are lighter and often load faster. Check the product page if the base matters to you.
If you are new to soaps, a softer tub is more forgiving than a hard puck while you are still working out how much water to add.
