The Goodfellas' Smile Shibumi Japanese Style Kamisori Straight Edge Razor
Two different things live in this category. Replaceable blade barber razors, often called shavettes, take a single edge blade and need no honing or stropping. Traditional straight razors hold a permanent edge and have to be stropped and eventually honed.
Parker makes the clip type barber razors, including the SRX, SRB and SRP and the non folding Director. The Goodfellas’ Smile covers the traditional side with a 5/8 round point and a Japanese style kamisori.
Barber razors are unforgiving of a bad angle, so most people find them easier after some safety razor practice. Blades to fit them are in the single edge and shavette blade section.
