Blade preference is personal. Two people using the same razor often get on with completely different blades, and the only reliable way to find yours is to try a few.

Our samplers put several brands in one pack, from twenty blades up to eighty-five, mixing names like Astra, Derby, Shark, Perma-Sharp, Feather, Gillette, Personna, Dorco, Lord, Wilkinson and Big Ben. There is also a single-brand Gillette sampler that puts fifteen different Gillette types side by side across seventy-five blades.

Work through a sampler a few shaves at a time, note which blades felt smooth and which tugged, then buy the winner in bulk.
