I have used many types of double edge razor blades over the years, including some “famous” types that are no longer in production. Here’s the deal: these are the best, most consistent blades you can still buy today. They are very sharp, much sharper than other brands I’ve used. Only Feather DE blades are sharper and these are much easier on the skin.

I’ve read some complaints that the quality has gone down on these over time but I have not really noticed that. I think shave nerds are very sensitive to minor changes in things like packaging or branding and will invent reasons not to like something due to that, even if the product is in fact the same.

Until a better blade comes along that will consistently stay in production I will keep using these.

I’ve been DE shaving for about 3-4 months now- I’ve found my safety razors that work but need to just fine tune razor blade selections, and it’s been hard.

I started out with Astras as everyone says they’re the best blend of smootness and sharpness. Well, tried and tried but the tore my face up. Weepers here and there but the irritation it gave wasn’t pleasant at all.

Tried more and more with some honorable mentions (Voskhod) and thought I had to settle with those. Voskhod for me were smoooooth but just a tad of pulling here and there.

The search goes on, and tried these out.

Wow, what a turn around. Smooth, sharp, can do multiple passes without horrible irritation. Can cut 4 days growth in 2 passes BBS no hiccups. Reminded me of Personna Lab blues in comfort to sharpness ratio but- Personna blades were inconsistent as hell and, to date gave me one of my more memorable most irritated shaves in my life.

Try these, you’ll enjoy them. I haven’t had issues. They are sharp and smooth. If Astras aren’t working for you try these. Illl be buying at least 500 more of these. Shavepocolyose ready!

These are great blades! Most of the time I do use feather but I decided to give these a try and so I did. The main benefit I could see these having over feather blades is once you get a little more experienced and comfortable with a safety razor you can shave quicker with these than you can with feather. Feather is very sharp it can certainly leave razor burn if you have to go over your whole face 2 times. These don’t do that. Also, you can shave a little quicker with these. Say you are in a bit of a rush and need a shave in the morning these allow you to shave quicker without cutting yourself. Only downside is because they aren’t as sharp as feather. They don’t cut as close and you can’t let your hair grow out as much. If you have a hot date or something and you want to look extra sharp though I would stick with the feather. All in all it’s a great blade and certainly serves a purpose just make sure you buy the right blade for the right purpose.

I’ve been shaving with Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow for over a year now. They are sharp as a Feather blade but without the hassle of nicks that they so often offer. I shave every 3 days and use a Weber razor (no wavy blade conundrum). So with that in mind, I plow through my beard with the greatest of ease. I share one caveat however, my face says put in a new Yellow after only 2 shaves — YMMV. Remember I shave every 3 days.

I’ve used and still have Gillette Sliver Blue and 7 O’clock Black. Black blades are sharp too, ‘and’ will yield 5/6 shaves. How that’s possible, no one knows. Given a choice, I prefer Black to Yellow; their both outstanding blades. Double edge blades are cheap, so give them both a try, then see what YOU think.

Great blade for the money! I was a Derby green guy due to the forgiveness. I thought I would try these due to wanting something a little sharper and more aggressive. These are more comfortable and nothing to be scared of. I change after 3-4 shaves but you get so many for the money it’s no big deal.

These blades are super cheap compared to disposable cartridges in stores and appear to be legit Gillette blades. Haven’t had any problems with them yet. Each blade lasts me about 6-10 shaves, although your mileage may vary depending on how much facial hair you have. Just make sure you replace the blade once it starts tugging on your skin a lot, otherwise you’ll end up cutting yourself.
