Product Overview

A Parker curved chrome stand that cradles a single razor and keeps it off a wet counter. It comes in two sizes. Choose the one that suits the type of razor you own, using the dropdown above.

The 80 mm version is designed for most standard double edge safety razors. Its razor support measures 80 mm.

The 100 mm version is designed for most standard straight razors, shavettes and cartridge razors. Its razor support measures 100 mm, giving the extra length a folding or fixed blade razor needs.

The 80 mm and 100 mm figures are the length of the stand’s razor support, not a minimum razor size. Both versions hold one razor and neither version includes a shaving brush hook.

What a Stand Does

A stand gives the razor a place of its own and keeps it out of the water that collects on a counter or a sink surround. A razor left lying flat holds water against the head and against the blade. A razor sitting in a cradle drains and dries instead.

Both sizes of this stand hold the razor only. If you want a stand that takes a shaving brush as well, look at the two prong razor and brush stands instead.

Who This Stand Is Best For

Safety razor users
The 80 mm size, for most standard double edge razors.
Straight and shavette users
The 100 mm size, with a longer cradle.
Small counters
A 50 mm base holds one razor without taking up room.

Getting the Best from Your Stand

  1. Pick the size that matches the type of razor you use before you order.
  2. Rinse and dry the razor before it goes back on the stand so that soap does not dry onto the metal.
  3. Seat the razor in the curve rather than balancing it on the edge of the cradle.
  4. Leave the stand somewhere air moves, rather than in a closed cabinet.

A stand does not need to be dried after every use, but wiping the base occasionally stops water marks building up.

Care and Storage

Wipe the stand dry from time to time so that water marks and soap film do not build up on the finish. If soap does dry on it, warm water and a soft cloth will lift it. Do not use an abrasive cream or a scouring pad, because both will dull a plated finish permanently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which size should I order?
Order the 80 mm size if you use a double edge safety razor. Order the 100 mm size if you use a straight razor, a shavette or a cartridge razor. The two figures refer to the length of the stand’s razor support.
Do the 80 mm and 100 mm figures refer to my razor?
No. They are the razor-support length of the stand itself. There is no minimum razor size for either version.
How big is the stand?
The 80 mm version stands approximately 89 mm tall with a razor-support length of 80 mm. The 100 mm version stands approximately 100 mm tall with a razor-support length of 100 mm. Both have a base diameter of 50 mm.
Does either size hold a shaving brush?
No. Neither the 80 mm nor the 100 mm version has a brush hook. Both are razor stands only. If you want both on one stand, look at the two prong razor and brush stands instead.
How is this different from a pronged razor and brush stand?
A pronged stand hangs a safety razor by its head and gives you a hook for a brush as well. This one cradles a single razor and has no brush hook, which means it fits more razor shapes but does nothing for your brush.
Does the stand come with a razor?
No. This listing is for the stand on its own, in the size you select. Any razor shown in the photographs is there to show scale and is not included.
Will it tip over?
The 50 mm base is designed to carry the weight of a loaded stand without tipping. Like any stand it can be knocked over if you catch it with a sleeve, but it is not top heavy in normal use.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the stand dry from time to time so that water marks and soap film do not build up on the finish. If soap does dry on it, warm water and a soft cloth will lift it. Do not use an abrasive cream or a scouring pad, because both will dull a plated finish permanently.
