What This Set Does

A butterfly razor is the simplest double edge design to live with. Twisting the end of the handle opens the two doors at the top of the head, the old blade lifts out, the new one drops in, and one twist back closes the head and centres the blade. There are no loose parts to hold, drop or misplace over a sink.

The 22R is a fixed-gap razor, so the blade angle and exposure are set by Parker rather than adjusted by the user. That makes it predictable: once the shaving angle is learned it stays the same shave after shave.

Pack the razor with no blade loaded. Loose blades belong in their paper or plastic wrappers, not floating in a toiletry bag.

Care and Storage

Rinse the razor under warm running water after every shave, open the head briefly so water can run through, and shake the water off. Dry it and leave it where air can reach it rather than sealed in the case while still wet.

Keep unused blades dry and stored in their original packaging. Place used blades in a sealed Razor Blade Bank or another puncture-resistant container. Never place loose blades directly in household trash.
