Double Edge Safety Razors

A double edge safety razor takes one replaceable blade instead of a cartridge, which is why many shavers move to them once they see what a year of cartridges costs.

Three-piece razors come apart completely and are easy to rinse and clean. Two-piece and butterfly designs open at the top for quicker blade changes. Adjustables let you dial blade exposure up or down. Closed-comb razors are the usual starting point, while open-comb designs generally provide more blade feel and can handle longer growth well.
