What This Cream Does

A shave cream sits between the blade and the skin. It softens the stubble, holds water against the beard while you work, and gives the edge a slick surface to travel on, which is where most of the comfort in a shave comes from.

Taconic states its cream quickly creates a thick, slick and creamy lather, that it is concentrated so a little goes a long way, and that it contains all natural and organic skin soothing and moisturizing ingredients, artisan made in small batches. How To Use It

With a brush, which is the method Taconic recommends: soak the brush in hot water and shake out the excess. Add a nickel sized amount of cream to the brush tips, then massage it into the wet beard in a circular motion, or build the lather in a bowl first if you prefer. Taconic notes the cream is very concentrated, so experiment with how much water you add over the first few uses.

Brushless: pump out a nickel sized amount, add warm water, and massage it onto the wet shave area with your fingers for about 60 seconds until a rich lather forms, adding more water as needed. After shaving, rinse with cool water and follow with an aftershave splash or balm.

Care and Storage

Store the bottle upright and keep it out of direct sunlight. There is nothing in it that needs refrigerating or special handling.
