Product Overview
This is the brush Cella puts in its own beard care set, sold here on its own. Our supplier Howi publishes its specification: nylon-reinforced boar bristles set into an FSC-certified 100 percent ash wood handle treated with linseed oil, measuring approximately 3.3 by 1.75 by 1.5 inches. Cella’s own sites list the brush only as a component of its beard care set.
What Cella does publish is why a beard needs a brush rather than a comb. Its own guidance is to brush first, to lift dandruff and sebum away from the skin, and it makes the point directly: in this phase it is important to brush, not comb.

What This Brush Does
A comb passes through the hair. A brush reaches the skin, and the skin is where beard problems start. Cella is unusually direct about this in its own beard guidance: brush first to remove dandruff and sebum and make sure the skin underneath is properly scrubbed, and in that phase brush rather than comb.
The second job is distribution. Beard oil applied by hand mostly sits on the outer hair. Brushed through, it travels down the shaft and onto the skin, which is where it was meant to go. Brushing before oiling and again afterwards is the routine Cella describes.
Who This Is Best For
Cella’s guidance applies from stubble upward.
Brushing lifts dandruff and sebum away from the skin.
Spreads beard oil past the surface hair to the skin.
How To Use It
Brush the beard through before washing or oiling to lift loose skin and sebum, then brush again after applying beard oil to carry it down to the skin and set the beard in shape. Work with the growth rather than against it.
Cella’s own wording on this step is worth repeating: it is important to brush, not comb.
Care and Storage
Pick loose hair out after use and let the brush dry with the bristles facing down. Keep it out of standing water.
