Description
Product Overview
The Shark is a three piece double edge safety razor made in Egypt by Lord. The handle unscrews from the head, so the razor separates into a handle, top cap and base plate for blade changes and cleaning.
The head is stainless steel and the razor weighs 28 g (1 oz) on a handle length of 100 mm (3.94 in), which makes it one of the lightest double edge razors in the range.
Ten Shark Platinum double edge blades are supplied with the razor, so it can be used from the first shave without buying blades separately.

Three Piece Design and Blade Changes
A three piece razor comes apart into three separate components: the handle, the top cap and the base plate. Unscrewing the handle releases the top cap, the blade sits between the top cap and the base plate, and screwing the handle back on clamps the assembly together.
Because every part separates, the head can be rinsed thoroughly and dried, and there is no hinge or spring mechanism inside the head to wear or seize.
Who This Razor ts Best For
The Shark is the least expensive double edge razor in the range and arrives with ten blades.
Ten Shark Platinum double edge blades are supplied with the razor.
The razor separates into three parts and weighs 28 g, so it adds almost nothing to a bag.
Weight and Shaving Feel
At 28 g (1 oz) on a 100 mm (3.94 in) handle the Shark carries very little mass, so the razor contributes almost nothing of its own weight to the stroke and the pressure comes from the hand rather than the tool.
How a razor feels is subjective and varies from one shaver to another. Beard type, blade choice, lather and technique all affect the result, so treat these descriptions as a general guide rather than a promise about your own shave.
Getting the Best from Your Razor
- Prepare the skin first. Many shavers find a hot shower or a warm damp towel before the shave makes a difference.
- Build lather with a shave soap or cream. A shave brush lifts the hair and spreads the lather more evenly.
- Let the razor do the work and apply very little pressure. Hold the head at a shallow angle to the skin rather than pressing it flat.
- Take the first pass with the grain, then reduce further on later passes if you want to.
- Rinse the head under running water between passes rather than tapping the razor on the sink.
- Change the blade once it starts to feel rough or drag. Blade life varies between individuals.
Care and Storage
Rinse the razor under warm running water after every shave and shake the water off. Take the head apart from time to time and rinse the top cap, base plate and handle threads so that soap does not build up. Dry the razor and leave it where air can reach it rather than in a closed cabinet or a sealed travel tube.
Rinse and dry the razor after each shave and avoid abrasive scouring pads and strong household cleaners, which can scratch or dull the surface.
Keep unused blades dry and stored in their original packaging. Place used blades in a sealed Razor Blade Bank or another puncture-resistant container. Never place loose blades directly in household trash.
