What This Set Does

This is the complete traditional lathering kit: the puck lives in the mug, the brush loads on it, and the lather builds warm off the stoneware. Nothing needs adding but a razor.

Per Taconic, the soap creates an incredible lather and a smooth, slick shaving experience, conditions and moisturizes while protecting from razor irritation, and suits all skin types including sensitive skin. Per Parker, the mug’s tapered design creates a great lather with a shave brush and its heavyweight stoneware retains heat, and the WHPB’s oversized 23 mm knot of 100% best badger bristles is extra dense and, in Parker’s words, creates a fabulous lather. How To Use The Set

Set the puck in the mug. Soak the brush in warm water and shake out the excess, then work it over the puck in circles until it loads, and build the lather on the face or in the mug, which is Taconic’s published method for its soaps.

Parker includes a stand with the brush: hang the brush in it, knot down, to dry between shaves.

Care and Storage

Tip standing water out of the mug and let the puck dry in it uncovered, per Taconic. Rinse the brush well and hang it to dry in its stand. The stoneware asks only not to be dropped.
