Description
Product Overview
The Parker MISY Shaving Brush sets a 22 mm black synthetic knot into a marbled ivory resin and chrome handle and is supplied with an acrylic stand in a gift box.
The black filament knot is cut and set to give soft tips with backbone behind them, so it loads a hard soap without collapsing. A synthetic knot uses no animal hair, needs no breaking in and dries within minutes of a rinse.

Lathering Performance
Synthetic filaments hold water on the surface of the fibre rather than absorbing it, so the knot loads quickly, releases lather freely and shakes almost dry in seconds. There is no break in period; the brush feels the same on the first shave as on the hundredth. The 22 mm knot holds enough lather for several passes, in a bowl or worked directly on the face.
Who This Brush Is Best For
No animal hair is used in a synthetic knot.
Soft filament tips and no animal hair to react to.
The brush arrives in a gift box with its stand.
Getting the Best from Your Brush
- Soak the knot in warm water for a minute or two before you start, then shake out the excess.
- Load the brush by working it over the soap or cream until the hair is fully charged.
- Build the lather in a bowl or on the face, adding water a little at a time until it turns glossy.
- A synthetic knot does not need breaking in, so it loads and feels the same from the first shave.
Adding water gradually rather than all at once is the usual difference between a thin lather and a thick one.
Care and Storage
Rinse the knot thoroughly under warm running water after every shave until the water runs clear, then shake out the excess and stand the brush bristles down so it can dry. Avoid boiling water, harsh detergents and leaving the brush sitting wet in an enclosed space. Do not stand the brush on its knot to dry. The acrylic stand holds the brush knot down between shaves so water drains away from the base of the knot.

I Liked The Soft Comfortable Shaving Bristles And Pearl Handle That Gives A Great And Secure Grip.
Shady Ave Reader –
You can get a decent foam for soap with this brush. It has a good balance between stiffness and softness. Yes a natural badger or boar brush might be better, but all of these brushes are manufactured in China. The treatment and condition of commercial animals in China is known to be cruel and inhumane. So I am happy to use something synthetic that does not support an industry of animal cruelty.
