Najran is the dark, resinous one. Cistus opens it, tobacco and violet fill the heart, and it settles onto moss, labdanum, grey amber, cedar wood and sandalwood. That is a fragrance structure closer to a perfume than to a shaving soap.

What This Soap Does
A soft soap loads onto a wet brush in seconds where a hard puck needs a minute of swirling, and it still builds the dense lather a tube cream cannot. At 46% oils this one stays slick right through a three-pass shave rather than thinning out.
Officina Artigiana builds these around the oils rather than around the fragrance. The mixture is heat-treated five times, in five separate mixing stages, which is what gives a soft soap this much body without turning it waxy.

How To Lather It
Soak the brush in warm water and shake it out. Load straight from the jar with a circular motion for twenty to thirty seconds, then build the lather on the face or in a bowl, adding water a few drops at a time until it turns glossy and holds a peak.
These load faster than a hard puck. Take less soap than you would from a puck and add water sooner.
Care and Storage
Close the jar after use and keep it somewhere dry. Do not leave standing water on the surface. Stored closed, a shaving soap keeps for years.
