Derby Premium double edge razor blades are the black-pack premium blade in the Derby family. Made in Turkey from Swedish stainless steel with a chromium-ceramic, platinum, tungsten and polymer coated edge, they are built for a smooth, comfortable shave.
Each pack contains 5 individually wrapped blades. Choose from 1, 5 or 20 packs to suit how you shave and how often you change blades.

As a dude who has pretty heavy facial hair growth, these razors, by far, have given me the most comfortable shave thus far out of the myriad brands I’ve tried.

I’ve used these blades for about six months now, decided I would wait to make sure my technique was good before reviewing the blades and chucking them aside.
I have not tried many different blades, mostly just the cloud blades that came with my razor, and these, however I’ve found that these blades are quite reliable if you want to have a shave nick-free.
I’m not after that BBS feel that many people seek, I mostly just want to get a shave, better than what I would get with an electric razor.
These blades deliver what I’m looking for, a good shave with zero nicks or cuts. In fact I’m actually able to get about 5-7 such shaves without needing to switch blades when I use these, so in terms of best value for money I think these take the cake as long as you’re not trying to go for a pure BBS shave every time.
If you are going for a BBS shave, these are good for probably 1-2 of those, and then will need to be swapped out.

Good Price. Solid packaging. Came as advertised. More than that though, I am thoroughly impressed. Great shave with my Gillette Slim. I tried Derby Extras in the past and was unimpressed. I hesitated to try these based on that experience. These are different. I compare them to Personna Blues which are considered by many to be a solid performer but forgiving. These are similar (still forgiving) but feel sharper with less drag.

DE shaving is so subjective so YMMV. My Context: my facial hair is not excessively course. I use a decent soap. Hot shower first. I look for milder blades (with a mild razor) bc of sensitive skin. I only need 2 pass generally. Having said that, for me these are great. They aren’t quite as good as Gillette Silver Blue (IMHO the best for sensitive/mild shaving) – a bit less sharp but less expensive too…..nonetheless these glide quite well and do a great job with no pulling (technique does matter too). If you have similar parameters as I do, I’m sure you will love these as well.
Bars –
These are different from when I purchased them a few years ago. The print on the blade is more dull and the paper the blades are wrapped in have a different language printed on them. Nevertheless, blades still give a close and comfortable shave. Great value for what you pay.
