Description
Product Overview
Silvertip is the softest grade of badger hair, and it is not what usually goes into a travel brush. This one uses a 19 mm silvertip knot on a short black handle, 3.25 in. overall, with a screw-top tube to carry it in.
The short handle is the compromise, not the knot. You hold a silvertip brush by the collar anyway, so the shave feels much the same as a full-size brush while the packed length drops to about 3.5 in.
Key Features
- ✓ 100% silvertip badger knot, 19 mm at the base, the softest grade of badger hair
- ✓ Very soft tips with enough density to hold a hot, wet lather
- ✓ Parker lists the brush at 3.25 in. overall with a 1.4 in. handle
- ✓ Screw-top storage tube included, 3.5 in. high and 1.45 in. across
- ✓ Packs to roughly the size of a travel toothbrush tube
- ✓ Small enough to travel with and pleasant enough to keep using at home
What Is Included
- ✓ One Parker travel shaving brush with a 100% silvertip badger knot, 19 mm at the base
- ✓ One lightweight screw-top storage tube, 3.5 in. high x 1.45 in. diameter

What This Brush Does
Silvertip tips are soft enough that the brush feels like it is painting rather than scrubbing. That is the whole reason people pay for the grade, and it is exactly what usually gets dropped when a brush is made small enough to travel with. Keeping the knot at 19 mm and shortening the handle instead keeps the feel and loses only the length.
The tube it comes with matters as much as the brush. Bristles pressed flat inside a packed bag set badly, and a screw-top container keeps them upright and away from everything else.
Who This Is Best For
The soft grade you shave with at home, in something that packs.
Packs to about 3.5 in. in its own tube.
A genuinely soft brush that stores in a tube rather than needing a stand and shelf space.
Travelling With It
Only pack the brush once the knot is dry. Screw the tube shut with the bristles upright rather than crushed against the end.
A damp knot closed into a sealed tube stays damp. Give it time in open air first.
Care and Storage
Rinse the knot under warm running water until the water runs clear, squeeze gently rather than wringing the hairs, shake it out and leave it in open air to dry before it goes back into the tube.

Hairs fall out of every brush you buy, so don’t listen the the negatives about that! This little brush does the job just fine and will last you a very long time of you treat her right! Go ahead you know you want to buy it! …. It’s worth it! 5 stars.

I prefer using a brush and shave soap for applying shaving cream. I have another travel brush which is lighter, but is fairly flimsy, and loses bristles.
This is the best travel brush I’ve come across. Not minimalist backpacking light, but still compact and light enough for travel, and sturdier and a more robust brush than other travel brushes that I have seen and used. Quality bristles.

Much better quality than expected, terrific travel brush; just don’t rely on the single breathing hole for the brush to day; leave it out for at least a few hours before placing back in the travel tube.
