What This Shaving Cream Does

This is a brush product rather than a tube cream: you load a damp brush from the jar and build the lather yourself. That gives a denser, wetter layer than anything that comes out of a tube already foamed, and it is what puts a real cushion between the blade and the skin.

Because Re Nero also exists as an aftershave, the scent can run from the lather through to the finish rather than two fragrances competing over the same shave.

How To Lather It

Soak the brush in warm water and shake it out. Load straight from the jar with a circular motion for twenty to thirty seconds, then build the lather on the face or in a bowl, adding water a few drops at a time until it turns glossy and holds a peak.

These load faster than a hard puck. Take less soap than you would from a puck and add water sooner.

Care and Storage

Close the jar after use and keep it somewhere dry. Do not leave standing water on the surface. Stored closed, a shaving soap keeps for years.
