As an African-American man that has spent hundreds of dollars on cartridge razors, safety razors, and other items to soothe the aches and pains of razor bumps, I’ve stopped at these blades. I’m amazed at these super stainless blades that provide maximum comfort and protection for your skin. Some may label these as “dull” blades. I say they have the perfect blend of smoothness and sharpness which brings in sensitive skinned shavers like myself to the table.

In my shave den: Bevel safety razor, Noble Otter shave soap, Treet Blades.

Ive tried several brands and this one seems to fit me the best.

I selected these after a blind trial that lasted over 5 months. During that time I had many brands of blades that I randomly selected to test and rate in several categories that I made up: pull, burn, closeness, nicks & cuts, and number of shaves. Each category was rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Each brand of blade had 5 samples, so I could try each of them multiple times. Sampling and testing was blind: I rated the blades without knowing which blade was loaded in my razor by removing the blades from their wrapping, so I couldn’t tell by the wrapping which I was choosing, then putting all the blades in a box, and randomly selecting and loading one on my razor in the dark (not one cut finger!). I only looked at the brand after I was finished with that blade trial. During the 5 month trial I used the same razor (a Ebo Jager), soap (from a local artisan soapmaker) and badger brush to minimize variables as best I could, and followed the same routine faithfully. Brands tested included Treet, Shark, Wilkinson, Derby Extra, Asco, Big Ben, Dorco, and Mercur, .Before the test I thought I liked Big Ben and Mercur best. But the highest scores went to the Treet Platinum., again and again.I couldn’t argue with the results. It’s been 5 months shaving with just them, and I can say they are giving me the most consistently great shave I’ve ever had. I am 53 and have been shaving since I was about 13, so that’s about 40 years. I’ve used straight (cut throat), safety, injector, cartridge, and electric shavers. And Treet is the best yet. Of course every razor and person is different, but for me, these rock. If you’re on the fence, give them a try!

As a black man with thicker hair and sensitive skin, I have been looking for a blade that would be forgiving on my scalp especially when going ATG. With other razors, I had experienced at least one knick/cut day even when being as careful as possible. Some big, some small. However, I haven’t experienced any knicks/cuts with this razor and it is my ultimate go-to. I feel safe and comfortable without even looking at the back of my head, which is the most sensitive part of my scalp. I highly recommend this for anyone starting out, or for anyone that has thicker hair and sensitive skin under similar circumstances.

I really wish I’d found these blades earlier. They may not be the best (maybe the Wilkinson blades enjoy that distinction), but for how nice they feel at this price point, there’s no question. This might be my new favourite brand. Super gentle, even with multiple day stubble, I used a blade for 6 shaves and I think that I could easily have got 1 or 2 more shaves out of it. I’m also using Feather blades, super sharp and made in Japan, while they cut through stubble very efficiently, they also nick my skin. Perhaps a matter of training, but Treet blades are definitely a treat!

Best Bang for buck. Be aware that they are coated in PTFE/Teflon, that’s why they glide so well. But, cost per blade3 is awesome. My go too are These, Derby, Gillette Silver, and Feather if I feel super fancy.

Best razor blades I have tried. Glad I purchased the large pack. I use them to shave my legs & underarms and they last for multiple shaves. I find most other blades don’t last at all, these stay sharp.

Decent blades for certain. Worked okay for my face but not as good as others. The service here is top notch!
